I get snappy or sad before my period.

PMS is common. Helpful steps: regular meals, less caffeine, more sleep, gentle movement, and a “warning plan” (tell one person you trust: “I’m PMS-y”). If mood symptoms feel extreme, long-lasting, or scary, it’s worth speaking to a GP/health professional.
